I am a huge fan of altered books, journaling and interactive notebooks in the classroom hence my obsession with the concept of this book. My daughter and I ran across this while surfing the web and thought it would be cool to start as a vacation project for all our traveling companions. The more I research it the more I want to incorporate the concept into the classroom. What a great way to get to know your students while letting them have choices and be creative. I have a few more weeks to develop this concept before I return to the classroom for a new year; until then I will be wrecking my own journal.
